Jordan Sieh, DNP, takes new role as Hospitalist at Gothenburg Health

Gothenburg Health has named Jordan Sieh, DNP, as its new hospitalist, enhancing patient-centered care and strengthening collaboration between hospital and primary care providers.

Sieh has worked at Gothenburg Health for the past three years as a registered nurse in the acute care unit while completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Now board-certified as a family nurse practitioner, she will primarily care for hospitalized patients while also occasionally seeing patients at the Saturday walk-in clinic.

“The medical staff has the utmost confidence in Jordan’s ability because they have been working alongside of her for years,” said Dr. Brady Beecham, chief medical officer. “Her role allows patients to receive additional attention and support while maintaining their relationships with their primary care providers.”

As a hospitalist, Sieh will work closely with local providers to develop individualized care plans for hospitalized patients. She will help manage daily needs, coordinate with specialists, monitor treatment progress, and assist with discharge planning. She will also oversee patients in Gothenburg Health’s swing bed program, which helps individuals regain strength through therapy before returning home.

“One of the key benefits of my role is being accessible to discuss conditions in detail with both patients and their families,” Sieh said.

Originally from Elkhorn, Nebraska, Sieh attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln before earning her nursing degree from UNMC. She worked at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha for four years before pursuing advanced education.

“While working at Nebraska Medicine, I sought out additional learning opportunities and knew I wanted to further my education,” she said. “That’s what led me to become a provider.”

Sieh completed her clinical rotations in North Platte, Kearney and Holdrege, gaining valuable experience in the region she now serves. She has always worked in acute care and is passionate about supporting patients during difficult times.

“I love educating patients, whether it’s about a chronic condition worsening or a new diagnosis,” she said. “I’m excited to be part of a team that prioritizes comprehensive, patient-centered care.”

She will work alongside a interdisciplinary team, including local providers, therapists, case managers, pharmacists, dietitians, and specialty providers, to ensure seamless, high-quality care.

“I am extremely proud to be at Gothenburg Health, where we provide exceptional care tailored to our community’s needs,” Sieh said. “Working in a Critical Access Hospital presents challenges, but the opportunity for professional growth and the ability to make a direct impact on patients’ lives is incredibly rewarding.”

She also praised Gothenburg Health’s team, emphasizing their dedication and versatility.

“Every individual here plays a vital role in serving the community,” she said. “It is fulfilling to see the difference we make in people’s lives every day.”
