Bringing back the electric 80’s for the 2024 Gala
The Gothenburg Health Foundation’s 2024 Gala will be Saturday, February 24 starting at 5 p.m. at Gothenburg Health and the YMCA gym. This year’s theme is the Electric 80’s and will feature casino games and music mixed by a live DJ.
The evening will begin with a casino and cocktail reception on the river from 5 to 7 p.m. that will include appetizers, casino gaming tables, cocktails, and silent auction items. Guests are encouraged to experience the electric energy of a Vegas-style casino as they play the games. They can also bid on silent auction items while visiting with friends over cocktails served by the Good Life and appetizers made by the Meridian Tap House.
Guests will be transported back to the 80’s in the dining area where they will be served a prime rib or chicken dinner catered by Sandhills Catering with cheesecake make by Chief Olson. Along with a live auction, the evening will feature sport broadcaster, Jim Rose, as the MC and special guest Aaron Salomon, PA who is a passionate supporter of the YMCA. DJ JAB out of Omaha will mix live music to keep the energy electric throughout the evening.
This year’s Gala will raise support for a new YMCA gym floor at Gothenburg Health. The current gym floor is six years old and at the end of its life cycle. We are thrilled that usage of the YMCA gym has been even higher than anticipated over the years, but it has caused additional wear and tear on the floor. The new floor being proposed will be a multi-purpose floor with the option to be refinished, effectively increasing its usable lifespan significantly with a warranty of 25 years.
Sponsorships are currently being accepted until February 2 and offer different levels of promotion and tickets. Auction item donations are being accepted until February 9. The generous support of sponsors and donors for the Gala will allow the Foundation to support the YMCA in continuing to provide essential recreational space for Gothenburg and surrounding communities.
The price of tickets is $85 and are currently on available online at Ticket Page (qtego.us) and through links on social media.
