Position Summary
The Clinic Medication Aide will support the daily functions of the Clinic under the direction of Clinic Nursing staff.
Key Accountabilities
- Conducts patient rooming of clinic patients including obtaining vital signs, weight, height, and documenting in the medical record
- Assists provider in exam rom
- Administers medication and injection to patients per orders of a licensed provider if within scope of practice
- Answer phones calls and voicemails from patients
- Acts a liaison between patients and providers with patient questions, issues
- Manages patient follow-up of test results under the supervision/instruction of the provider
- Demonstrate ability to perform the required minimum lab tests for patients to include blood sugar, hemoglobin, dip urinalysis, pregnancy test, hemoccult test, and culture preparation
- Assists in monitoring and maintaining inventory control of clinic, office supplies, and stocking of rooms
- Assists with day-to-day cleaning and Infection Control of the clinic exam rooms and department
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Certified Nurses Aid in the State of Nebraska with
- Medication Aid in the State of Nebraska OR
- Certified Medical Assistant (C.M.A.)
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and modern office equipment
